Meet Shayon Moitra

Storyteller. Animal Lover. Mountain Dweller.

At just 28 years old, Shayon Moitra has chosen a life that many dream of — one rooted in love, nature, and purpose. Residing in the peaceful embrace of the Himalayas with his partner and their eight beloved dogs, Shayon’s world is a daily reflection of loyalty, simplicity, and connection.

A Life Inspired by Companionship

Shayon’s bond with animals — especially dogs — has always been more than just affection. It’s been transformational. Their silent understanding, unwavering loyalty, and selfless love inspired him to write his first book:
DOGISTHAAN: Kingdom of the Dogs.

In this story, Shayon gives dogs the voice and honor they deserve — not as side characters in a human world, but as noble beings leading a realm of their own. It’s his way of showing the world that the love we seek often lives quietly right beside us — in wagging tails, watchful eyes, and warm hearts.

Why He Writes

Shayon didn’t come to storytelling through ambition — he came to it through emotion. Living close to nature and surrounded by his dogs, he began writing as a way to express everything he felt but couldn’t say out loud.
His debut novel is not just a fantasy — it’s a message, a reminder, and a tribute.

“I believe we all carry an ancient love inside us — one that’s kinder, simpler, and more instinctive. This book is my way of calling that love back.”

What’s Next?

With DOGISTHAAN being the first in a potential series, Shayon is already dreaming up new stories inspired by the natural world, human emotion, and the quiet wisdom of animals. His goal is to write not just for entertainment, but for empathy.
